Currently, construction is continuing on a new pavilion that will feature 264 private patient rooms, an emergency and trauma center with 66 treatment rooms and new operating rooms, McMackin told a crowd of more than 200.
In addition, McMackin announced an eighth floor is going to be added to the facility and that the City of Poughkeepsie Planning Board is reviewing the plans.
The new space will most likely be used for medical-surgical care.
