Construction officials of the new restaurant, located at 535 Haight Ave., in the Town of Poughkeepsie, said the Monday, Feb.13th grand opening had to be pushed back due to the snow, said the Journal.

This is the second delay for the restaurant which had planned to open last year but a switch in contractors slowed the construction process, they added.

The chain will offer fried chicken and seafood, many of them Cajun-style, said the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Popeyes plans to hire about 65 people to staff the Poughkeepsie restaurant, added the Journal.
