Celebrate Holiday Season With Parade, Tree Lighting In Millbrook

MILLBROOK, N.Y. -- A tree lighting, visit with Santa and parade rounds out today's Christmas in Millbrook, a celebration that begins at 5 p.m. at the Millbrook firehouse.

That is when the parade participants line-up and festivities take place. The parade will then begin at 6 p.m. on Franklin Avenue to the top of the hill.

Highlights are the original lighted floats made by local citizens, businesses and groups.

"We never know how many floats or people will be in it but it's always spectacular," said Elizabeth Hicks, whose husband Brian originated the annual tradition five years ago.

Last year we had 3,000 spectators, she said.
