Union Vale Residents Can Comment On Route 55 Bridge Project

UNION VALE, N.Y. -- The state Department of Transportation and contractor Halmar International will hold a public information meeting regarding the project to replace the Route 55 bridge over the Jackson Creek in Union Vale.

Route 55 will be closed for four months in Union Vale beginning in March for a bridge replacement.

The meeting will be held at Union Vale Town Hall on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Town Hall is at 249 Duncan Road.

The meeting is intended to inform residents, local officials and businesses about the planned construction activities on Route 55 over the Jackson Creek and will include information on the detour and work duration.

A presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
