"Unfinished" is a new opera in development from composer Joshua Groffman and librettist Sarah Heady; it's based on the story of the now shuttered Bennett College in Millbrook.

Using a mix of archival materials and contemporary testimony from Bennett alumnae and the Millbrook community, "Unfinished" explores how Bennett is remembered, and forgotten, today.

"Unfinished" features sopranos Danielle Messina and Maggie Finnegan and mezzo-soprano Jennifer Panara. It's conducted by Daniela Candillari and directed by Kelvin Chan.

A facilitated discussion will follow the performance to gather critical feedback and questions that will inform the development of the project going forward.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased here.

Vital Opera is a developing project to cultivate human connection through the medium of operatic expression, according to Vital Opera's website. Its goal is to strengthen the bonds of compassion through the exploration of opera as a depiction of human truth, the website said.

The event will start at 5 p.m.

Grace Episcopal Church is at 3328 Franklin Ave., Millbrook.
