Held from noon to 2 p.m., the class is part of Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro's ThinkDIFFERENTLY initiative which fosters a welcoming environment for people of all abilities.
During the event, children will learn about the importance of cooking with fresh ingredients and how to make a meal they'll enjoy.
The event is expected to fill up fast, so interested residents are asked to reserve a spot at www.dutchessny.gov/cooking.
The cooking class is just the latest event throughout Dutchess County to celebrate the innate ability in each resident.
Additional information regarding ThinkDIFFERENTLY is available here.
Monte's is at 3330 Route 343 in Amenia.
