Max Weber, Assistant Manager of The Book Cove in Pawling has his favorites and offers the following ideas of what may be "hot" this holiday season.
- "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" by George R. Martin: This takes place in the "Game of Thrones" universe and so is nice for those who enjoy that kind of genre.
- "M Train" by Patti Smith: This latest autobiorgraphy by Smith is great because, as Weber said, "she's a living legend," and lived an interesting life. The book has gotten a lot of buzz and positive press.
- After You by Jojo Moyes: This is a sequel to her first book, "Me Before You," and a great book club choice.
- "Audrey at Home: Memories of My Mother's Kitchen" by Luca Dotti: Dotti serves up his mother’s recipes along with pictures and anecdotes rarely seen before. the penna a la vodka is amazing, said Weber, who cooked it himself. "It's fun to make something Audrey Hepburn made," he said.
- "Percy Jackson's Greek Heroes"by Rick Riordan: This oversized illustrated book is rich with Greek mythology and written in a language accessible -- and interesting -- to young adults.
