Most theaters have strict rules about how dressed up Star Wars filmgoers are allowed to be, but that didn't stop fans from showing their allegiance.

The Regal Cinemas Galleria Mall 16 in Poughkeepsie had the film playing all weekend in multiple theaters, and business was brisk.

Some wore Star Wars T-shirts, some carried light sabres and some had their faces painted, or wore clothes from the films.

They were all ready for a great time.

Reviews of the film have been very good, so expect the crowds to continue for a some time.
