While popular summer favorites include rosé, chardonnay and sangria, many people also enjoy the unique taste of hard cider. Orchards across the country are finding different ways to incorporate their apples as the popularity of hard cider continues to increase.
Though the larger brands still do well, it's the local hard cider companies that are developing into community favorites. Nine Pin Cider Works in Albany, N.Y. has grown its business to meet the demands of cider-lovers across the community. They even participated in Wineology's "taste-testing weekends" by sampling three different flavors of craft cider, including original, ginger and Belgium flavors.
Nine Pin was the first cidery in New York when they opened in 2014, with 17 others following in their footsteps as the product continued to grow. The season for growing the best apples is on the horizon so Nine Pin and other local companies are preparing to offer the best ciders possible for thirsty consumers.
Wineology Fine Wine and Spirits has worked with Nine Pin to ensure they always have their cider available in store. For more information or help picking the best wine or hard cider, visit Wineology in Pawling or call at (845) 855-8463.
