That help can be found even on Christmas when Anthony Eack, aka, Tony Gatz, the founder of Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life Foundation, will hold a special rap session opiate recovery meeting from 6 to 9 p.m.

“As great as Christmas is and should be, there will be many families out there suffering due to this devastating opiate addiction and while most families will be sitting at home eating Christmas dinner, I will have the doors open and willing to spend my time with those who may need it most," Eack said.

Eack, a certified recovery coach, said he has been in long-term recovery from alcoholism and used the fellowship of Alcohol Anonymous as his foundation of recovery.

"The rap session is by far New York's most successful opiate recovery meeting and is running very strong here in the Hudson Valley more than a year now thanks to its full-time members who welcome all the newcomers," he added.

Eack holds weekly meetings at the NNC Church, Oak Grove Grange Building, 2 St. Nicholas Road in Wappingers Falls and said his goal is to offer a safe place for all with opiate addictions.
