When Daily Voice stopped in this week, there was a steady flow of regulars lining up to order all their favorite items - from 17-hour smoked brisket, to pulled pork or chicken to dry rub slow smoked spareribs. And all the sides to go with those popular sellers.

Owner and BBQ master Warren Norstein's specialty is smoked BBQ - and 'Big W' has an array of smokers in action pretty much round the clock.

The Brooklyn native has been in Wingdale for the last 11 years, and prior to that sold his BBQ delights from a roadside truck.

"This is hands-on barbeque, you can't do it at home easily," Norstein told Daily Voice during a recent visit. "You don't find it out at a chain."

And the line of customers at Big W's all had the same things to say - the barbeque here is amazing. "Service is great, portions are good, and the food... it's top of the line," said one customer who couldn't say enough about the ribs. "There's no other place like this around."

"People come back time and time again," Norstein said. "We do a big lunch, and lots of people come in and take it home for a picnic. And we cater."
