The woman is a 22-year-old resident of Rockland County. Her identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, said Kieran O'Leary, spokesman for the Westchester County Sheriff's Office.

The Westchester County Police Marine Unit responded and recovered the body from the river, O'Leary said.

The remains were transported to Riverfront Green Park in Peekskill and turned over to the Westchester Medical Examiner’s Office, he added.

Her death has been ruled a suicide by the Medical Examiner’s Office, O'Leary said.

The woman has been missing since she was caught on video surveillance tape jumping from the Bear Mountain Bridge on April 26 at about 4:26 p.m.
