DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- Millerton firefighters and rescue officials are on the scene of a hang-glider accident on Brace Moutain, according to fire officials.
The accident, which occurred around 2 p.m. Tuesday, involved a power glider that crashed, officials said.
Firefighters are currently attempting a rescue and have requested a medevac helicopter to assist with removing the injured person.
Brace Mountain is part of the southern Taconic Mountains, that stands 2,311-feet at its main summit in Dutchess County.
