The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Dutchess residents regarding the residency of 45-year-old Brian Lashomb, who has reported an address change to a residence on Railroad Street in Dover Plains.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Lashomb a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.” He has also been designated for lifetime registration, though he is subject to petition for relief.

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Lashomb had sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old girl and was convicted of third-degree rape in 1995 following his arrest by state police. Lashomb was sentenced to five years probation and is now under the jurisdiction of the Dutchess County Sheriffs Office.
