The bonds, according to a presentation from the town, would be used to purchase the two parcels along Route 22 that make up the current site of Dutchess County Diesels. Two existing buildings on the site would be renovated for the town facilities.

The town, in an online presentation, argues that a new town hall and highway garage are needed due to inadequacies of the current buildings, along with their age.

The presentations, along with other information about the proposal, are available here.
