The scholarship is a one-time award of $500 given to a college-bound student exhibiting exceptional citizenship, integrity and service to the community. The student must also maintain high academic standards.
An applicant must be a student in good standing, currently enrolled in a high school in Putnam County, Pawling or Dover and have received acceptance to an accredited college or university. Home-schooled students in the mentioned localities are also eligible.
The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is a women's service organization that promotes historic preservation, education and patriotism, and honors Revolutionary War patriots.
Applications are available in area high school guidance counselors' office or online via the Pawling Free Library.
