The alert said the discharge, which occurred at a manhole at 21 Recreation Road and behind 91 Recreation Road, had not impacted any public areas.
The discharged lasted for about 12 hours and discharged an estimated 31,000 gallons of untreated sewage, Dalton Farms Sewer said.
The reason for the discharge, which included influent water with rags, was a blockage of rags at one of the area pumps, officials said.
The company said it has cleaned up the contaminated area and installed float poles to correct the problem.
