MILLERTON, N.Y. – Clara M. Hosier-Rockefeller, a 60-year resident of Millerton, died Tuesday, April 12. She was 85.
She was born on April 1, 1931, in East Granby, Conn., where she also attended and graduated from area schools.
After many years of service, she retired from the housekeeping department at Sharon Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph J. Rockefeller; five children, Brian (Tina) Hosier of Amenia, Jeffrey (Cathy)Hosier of Laughlin, Nev., Timothy (Noelle) Hosier of East Egremont, Mass., Linda Willis-Barnhart of Delhi and Steven King of Wassaic.; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Cecil D. Hosier; and her brother.
There are no calling hours. Graveside services and burial will take place on Tuesday, April 19, at 10 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, North Main Street, Pine Plains. The Rev. Kent Wilson will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Scott D. Conklin Funeral Home, 37 Park Ave., Millerton.
