Dorothy Fagge Osborne, 90, Pawling Resident

PAWLING, N.Y. -- Longtime Pawling resident Dorothy Fagge Osborne died on Tuesday, Dec. 22. She was 90.

Osborne a WWII “airplane spotter” under the Aircraft Warning Services, a civilian service of the U.S. Army. A Pawling PTA member and president, Osborne then became secretary to the principal of the Pawling Junior-Senior High School principal for over 30 years.

Osborne was a longtime member of the Central Baptist Church of Pawling. She had a variety of roles there over the years, including deaconess, vacation bible school leader, organist and choir director.

She is survived by her husband of over 70 years, Donald Allan Osborne. She was mother Lynne Osborne Wilcox and Robert Osborne; grandmother to John Wilcox, Beth (Wilcox) Rollins, Emily (Wilcox) Voudren, Staff Sgt. Matthew Allan Wilcox, Chelsea (Osborne) Pearson, Robert Solomon Osborne and Courtney Osborne; and great-grandmother to 14.

She was predeceased by her parents, Samuel Frank and Florence Ominta (Rich) Fagge; and siblings S. Frank Jr., James Robert and Mary Frances Fagge Mullinax, of Greensboro NC.

Visiting hours hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 27, at the Horn & Thomes Funeral Home, 83 East Main St., Pawling. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 28, at the Central Baptist Church of Pawling, led by Pastor Mark Bouffard, 38 East Main St.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Central Baptist Church of Pawling.
