PAWLING, N.Y. -- Edwin E. Wood, 84, of Pawling, died Sunday, Oct. 9.
He was born June 24, 1932, in Narrowsburg, to Edwin and Mammie (Dailey) Wood, and served in Korea in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Before retiring, he was a director at IBM in Armonk. He attended St. John’s Church and enjoyed jogging, playing golf, the Green Bay Packers, and spending time with his family and friends and his pets Holly, Tiffy, Joey and Max.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa A. Arceri; daughter, Celine Wood; four sons, Rob, Ed, James and Scott Wood; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brother, Clair Wood.
Family and friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Horn & Thomes Inc. Funeral Home, 83 E. Main St., Pawling. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John’s Church, 39 E. Main St., Pawling. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assciation.
