HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- Frank Aiello, Jr., 72, of Hyde Park, the owner of A&P Home Improvement, died Friday, Dec. 23, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie.

Born March 5, 1944, in Poughkeepsie, Aiello is the son of the late Frank and the late Rose (Berardi) Aiello Sr.

A lifelong resident and graduate of Poughkeepsie High School, he married Linda J. Lane on Sept. 11, 1966, at Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel Church in Poughkeepsie.

Aiello was a member of the Full Gospel Church in Lagrangeville and a member of Crum Elbow Rod and Gun Club.

A master carpenter, Aiello was an excellent marksman who loved to hunt, in addition to being an artist.

He is survived by his wife: Linda J. (Lane) Aiello; daughter and son-in-law Michelle and Dave Ciferri; three grandchildren, Jacquelyn Chamberlain and husband Adam; Jillian Ciferri, and Anthony Ciferri.

Aiello was predeceased by his brother's, John Aiello, and Louis Aiello.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 29 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Hyde Park.
