Davison was born Dec. 8, 1944, in Beatrice, Neb. He is the son of the late James and the late Melba Davison.
He married Leonora Jane " Lee " Melhado on Sept. 25, 1971, at St. Stanislaus Church in Pleasant Valley, she predeceased him on Aug. 2, 2014.
A programming engineer at IBM, Davison was also a member of the Town of Poughkeepsie Republican Party and served as their treasurer. He also served on the Town of Poughkeepsie Planning Board.
He is survived by his brother James Davison, several nieces and nephews and his beloved Chloe.
Rich was predeceased by his sister Deanna and his two brothers Ross and Ward Davison
Calling hours will be Thursday, March 16, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. during the calling hours.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Poughkeepsie.
