PAWLING, N.Y. -- Joyce M. Robinson, 61, formerly of Pawling, died Saturday, Oct. 1.
She was born Sept. 21, 1955.
She was a bus driver for the Pawling School District for several years, also working at the Quik Stop in Pawling until the family relocated to Redlands, Calif., where she worked for IHSS as a home health aide until July 2015. She believed in education and became a registered home school in California, working with several kids, helping them become high school graduates.
She played softball in the Pawling Rec Women's League for several years and was an avid bowler in bowling in leagues in both Pawling and Carmel. She loved football and was a dedicated fan of the Buffalo Bills.
She is survived by her life partner, Patricia Sprague; seven sons, Michael Robinson and wife Heather, Paul Robinson and wife Sashia, Christopher Robinson, Matthew Sprague, Jamie Sprague, Luis Cervantes and Anthony Portilla and wife Kelly; daughter, Kelsey Tatum; mother, Myrna Kunic; father, Allen Rundall and wife June; brother, Jeffrey Rundall and wife Kris; two sisters, JoAnn Miller and husband Joseph (Jere) Miller and Jeanne Jobs; and five grandsons, Jonathon McGarey, Jared Robinson, Michael (Mikey) Robinson, Jayden Portilla and Austin Portilla.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 22 Coulter Ave., Pawling.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to a special fund being established for other colon/rectal cancer patients and research.
