MILLBROOK, N.Y. – Julia Mary Aceste of Millbrook, a former longtime resident of Douglaston, Queens, died Tuesday, March 15. She was 93.
Born in Brooklyn on April 25, 1922, she was the daughter of John and Mary Setera Rabowski. She worked as a seamstress at Pauline's in Roslyn. She married Vincent Aceste, and they were married for 73 years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Ann Marie Reichenbach and her husband, Michael, of New Hamburg; her son, Vincent Aceste Jr. and his wife, Sharon, of South Salem; her brother, Edward Rabowski and his wife, Carolyn, of West New York. N.J.; three grandchildren, Jessica Fillis and her husband, Doug, of New Jersey, Meredith Aceste and her fiancé, Steven, of Hoboken, N.J., and Logan Aceste of South Salem; two great-grandchildren, Harper Rose and Emerson Brie Fillis of New Jersey; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the North Shore Animal League, 25 Davis Ave., Port Washington, NY 11050.
