Kathryn M. "Kay" Pendergast, 93, Of Pine Plains

PINE PLAINS, N.Y. — Kathryn M. "Kay" Pendergast, 93, died at home on Thursday, Oct. 22.

She was born on March 21, 1922 in New York City, the daughter of Edward and Harriet (Pectal) Bellinger. On Oct. 6, 1950, she married the late Chester F. Pendergast, who died on Oct. 18, 2006. She is survived by her son, Charles "Pat" Pendergast and wife Connie of Staatsburg, a daughter, Carol Pendergast of Arizona; six grandchildren; Cheryl Hudek ( Tom), Carol Hosier (Rich), Donna Hosier (Jeff), Tina Smith (Kyle), Patty Williams (Ryan) and John Kemp Jr.; eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Her son Calvin “Kim” Pendergast died on the same day.

Kay Pendergast dedicated her life to her family, whether it was caring for her children as they were growing up or helping her husband with painting jobs. She had a kind heart and was always prepared with one of her famous comments

Graveside services were held on Saturday, Nov. 14, in Evergreen Cemetery.
