WINGDALE, N.Y. -- Lawrence Eugene O’Dell, 68, a lifetime resident of Wingdale, passed away June 16, 2016 in Sharon, Conn.
He was born Aug. 29, 1947, in Poughkeepsie, to Harold O’Dell and Violet (Burlingame) O’Dell.
A wheelchair mechanic at the Taconic DDSO, he retired in 2002. An avid hunter, he was a state bow instructor and did sportsman education for 20 years.
He is survived by his son Lawrence E. O’Dell II, and his wife, Amy, of Wingdale; his daughter, Michelle O’Dell of Clifton Park; his granddaughter, Lyla; his wife, Priscilla (Carey) O’Dell of Troy; his brother, Vernon Hadden Jr., of Danbury, Conn.; and his two sisters, Violet Lorraine Binotto of Virginia and Linda McEathren of Gilderland.
He was predeceased by his younger brother Robert O’Dell.
Family and friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Horn & Thomes Inc. Funeral Home, 83 E. Main St., Pawling.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
