POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Michael Sean DeLorenzo, 54, of Poughkeepsie, died on Monday, May 22, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 24, 1962,  DeLorenzo was the son of Dr. Michael DeLorenzo and Vera A. (Petersen) DeLorenzo. He was the Vice President of CB Strain for DSI in Poughkeepsie for six years until his retirement in 2016.

A lifelong resident of the Hudson Valley, DeLorenzo was a respected member of the community known for his character, honor, and integrity in both his personal and professional lives. 

DeLorenzo's interests included boating, golf, classic cars, motocross, and spending time with his many friends.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Andrea Ford; children, Anthony Michael De Lorenzo and Jessica Danielle Ford-DeLorenzo; his siblings, Deidre M. Lynch of Hopewell Junction; Maribeth DeLorenzo of Washington, D.C.; Maryellen Coon Giovinazzo of Beacon; Christopher J. DeLorenzo of Buffalo; Michael D. Coon of Miami, and his nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. In addition to his parents, DeLorenzo was predeceased by his stepmother, Patricia Louise DeLorenzo, his grandparents, Mary Flynn Petersen, and Anthony and Mary DeLorenzo, as well as his sister Elizabeth A. Coon.

Calling hours will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
