Michael Denick, 94, Of Pawling

PAWLING, N.Y. -- Michael Denick, 94, of Pawling, died Sunday, Sept. 4. He was 94. 

Denick was born Feb. 7, 1922, in Jersey City.

He was an apprentice machinist at Westinghouse Electric in Jersey City until going into the U.S. Navy during World War II, where he served as an aviation machinist mate first class from 1942-45. 

After the war, he worked for Westinghouse Electric in Jersey City, retiring as a maintenance foreman. 

He is survived by his son, Michael; brother, Andrew; two sisters, Mary and Suzanne; granddaughter, Elizabeth; and two great-grandsons, Colin and Michael. 

He was predeceased by his wife, Doris. 

Calling hours will be from 8-9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Horn & Thomes Inc. Funeral Home, 83 E. Main St., Pawling, with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Church, 39 E. Main St., Pawling. A burial will be conducted in the Saratoga National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
