MILLBROOK, N.Y. -- Lifelong Millbrook resident Raffaela "Fannie" T. Anderson died on Sunday, Feb. 21. She was 94.
"Many may remember Fannie from the Coffee Spot, or as cook at Dutchess county infirmary or her favorite job as a cook at Saint Joseph's Church, where she retired in 2014," according to information from Allen Funeral Home.
Anderson is survived by her son, Leonard and his wife Lila of Millbrook; grandchildren Melissa Whitford and her husband Donald of Goshen, Connecticut, and Michael Anderson and his girlfriend Jennifer Hall of Pleasant Valley; grandchildren Jeffery Rodriquez, Dealia Anderson, and Hunter, Nevin and Logan Whitford; siblings Vincent Massarelli of Sharon, Connecticut, Paul Massarelli of Vermont, Anna DiStefano of Poughkeepsie, and Nancy Sessa of Pleasant Valley; several nieces and nephews; and her favorite dog Bella.
She was predeceased by her husband, Evar "Andy" Anderson, and siblings, John, Thomas and Josephine Massarelli.
A mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25, at Saint Josephs Church in Millbrook. Per Anderson's wishes, there will be no viewing. Interment will be private. Allen Funeral Home, Millbrook, assisted with arrangements.
