Amenia Man Charged With Felony DWI In Route 22 Stop In Dutchess

AMENIA, N.Y. – An Amenia man faces charges of driving while intoxicated after he was stopped Tuesday,  on Route 22, police said.

William I. Simmons Jr., 53, of Amenia, is facing felony charges of driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop on Route 22.

William I. Simmons Jr., 53, has hit with the felony charge by state police from the Dover Plains barracks.

Simmons had a previous DWI conviction from 2015, police said.

He is to appear in Town of Amenia Court on Tuesday, March 22.
