A Dutchess man is behind bars after an investigation discovered he had numerous pornographic images on his computer at his home in Beekman, state police said.

Troopers from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested 69-year-old Leo O. Baltazar on Tuesday and charged him with possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, a Class E felony.

Baltazar was arrested following an investigation conducted by the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

In April of 2017, Baltazar arrived at Troop K Headquarters and provided police with computer equipment from his home that revealed numerous pornographic images depicting children.

A search warrant was executed on Monday on Baltazar's Town of Beekman home where additional computer equipment was seized for an evaluation.

Baltazar was arraigned in the Town of Pleasant Valley Justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.

ICAC is a multiagency task force that combats the sexual exploitation of children via the internet.
