Dover Man Found With Cocaine, Shotgun In Task Force Bust

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Dover man is behind bars following a warrant search on Thursday by the Dutchess County Drug Task Force that netted cocaine and an illegal shotgun.

Gregory Pittman, 42,  of Berkshire Road in Dover, was busted after task force agents investigated complaints of drug trafficking happening at the home, said Frank Tasciotti, assistant director of the task force.

During the search, with help from the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Emergency Services Unit, agents found at least a half-ounce of cocaine and an illegal shotgun, Tasciotti said.

Pittman was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon.

He is being held without bail at the Dutchess County Jail. Additional charges may follow.
