Dover Woman Charged With Violating Order Of Protection

DOVER, N.Y. -- A Dover woman was arrested Sunday on a charge of violating a protective order by New York State Police from Dover.

Gina M. Nelson, 38, was charged with first-degree felony criminal contempt and second-degree aggravated harassment after troopers were dispatched to investigate an order of protection violation on Dec. 22. 

The investigation revealed that Nelson allegedly violated a court order of protection issued by Dover Town Court by contacting the victim of the order on several occasions.

Nelson was arraigned in Dover Town Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond. She is due to reappear in Dover Town Court on Monday, Jan. 18.
