POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - First responders were dispatched to Route 9 in Poughkeepsie on Thursday afternoon when a van went off the road and struck a pole.

Officials confirmed that at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, police and fire crews were dispatched to Route 9, where a man was trapped inside his work van after striking the pole.

The front end of the van sustained immense damage, with the front end being destroyed. The condition of the driver was not immediately available. Keep following Daily Voice for updates as they become available.
