The fourth of five Port Authority hikes that began three years ago takes effect at 3 a.m. Sunday when the tolls increase by a dollar to $14 in cash lanes and by 75 cents for transponder users.
The American Automobile Associations of New York and North Jersey had sued to block the toll increase, saying the authority violated federal law because the money was used partly to cover redevelopment of the World Trade Center.
