Millerton Woman Charged With Using Friend's ID To Open Accounts

MILLERTON, N.Y. -- A Millerton woman is facing felony charges after a former acquaintance accused her of trying to open up credit card accounts in his name, police said.

Madison L. Marshall, 25, of Millerton, has been charged with using a former acquaintance's personal information to try to open several credit card accounts.

Madison L. Marshall, 25, was arrested Sunday by state police from the Dover Plains barracks and charged with first-degree falsifying business records and second-degree identity theft.

The unidentified victim told police that someone had tried to open several accounts using his name, date of birth, and Social Security number.

Marshall was to appear in the Town of Dover Court on Tuesday, May 17.
