State Police are asking the public's help as they search for a 59-year-old man who went missing from a group home in Dutchess County.
Joseph O’Brien, 59, left the Taconic Developmental Disabilities Services group home located at 90 Verbank Club Road at approximately 11:30 a.m. Friday, state police said.
State Police say the believe he walked down Verbank Club Road to State Route 82, and may be or may have hitchhiked to get to the Brewster or Pawling area.
He is described as a white mentally handicapped male, who was last seen wearing a T-shirt and shorts. He is described as having scabs or abrasions on his balding scalp, according to authorities.
State Police bloodhound Wiltse has been searching the area, police said.
