Pedestrian, 22, Seriously Injured After Being Hit By Car In Dutchess

HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- A pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a car along Route 9 in Hyde Park at 11 p.m. Thursday, according to the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office.

A 22-year-old man was seriously injured on Thursday when he was struck by a car on Route 9 in Hyde Park near the Culinary Institute of America.

A preliminary investigation into the accident has revealed that Anthony Jennings, 22, was walking along Route 9 when he was struck by a vehicle near the Culinary Institute of America, police said.

Jennings was transported to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital with serious injuries, police added.

The investigation into the crash is continuing by members of the Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Unit. No charges have been filed at this time.
