While patrolling the Town of Newburgh, Orange County sheriff’s deputies pulled over a tractor-trailer headed for the New York State Thruway for following a car too closely.

A subsequent probable-cause search of the trailer, performed by a state police K-9 and sheriff's office k-9, turned up a sack containing 10 kilograms of cocaine, with an estimated street value of $3.6 million, according to the sheriff’s office.

Two St. Elizario, Texas men -- Francisco Castillo Jr. and Saul Onzures -- were arrested and charged with first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony.

They were both remanded to Orange County Jail without bail.
