Two Face DWI Charges After Separate Stops In Dutchess

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- Red Hook police reported the arrest of two men in separate incidents for DWI on Route 9G.

Alberto Gutierrez-Hernandez, 33 of Kingston, was arrested on Saturday around 11:05 a.m. after police pulled him over for driving 75 mph in a 45 mph zone on Route 9G in the Town of Red Hook, police said.

Once stopped, officers could tell that Gutierrez-Hernandez was intoxicated and performed a breath test which registered at .18 percent, two times over the legal limit of 0.08 percent, police said.

He was charged with aggravated drunken driving, as well as two counts of drunken driving. He was processed and released on tickets with a future court date.

Red Hook police also arrested Peter Zervas Jr, 27 of Franklin Lakes N.J., after he was stopped around 1:44 a.m. Sunday for a traffic violation. 

During the stop, Zervas was found to be drunk and was arrested and charged with two counts of drunken driving. He was processed and released on tickets to appear in court at a later date.
