Troopers from the Wappinger barracks responded to Taylor Lane in the village of Fishkill after a report of a burglary in progress on Sunday, Jan. 21.
An investigation revealed Teresa D. Lucas forcibly entered the home of the former partner and damaged the door, molding and additional property in the process, police said.
Lucas was charged with burglary in the second degree, a Class C felony, and criminal mischief in the third degree, a Class E felony.
Lucas was arraigned before the Village of Fishkill Court and released on her own recognizance to return on Monday, Jan. 29.
