STANFORD, N. Y. -- A 19-year-old Stanfordville woman is facing felony assault and child endangerment charges after police say she threw boiling water on a man in the presence of three children, New York State Police said.
Starrkeyia Richardson is charged with felony second-degree assault and three counts of misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child, police said. She's being held in Dutchess County Jail on a $30,000 bond, or $15,000 cash, after arraignment in Pleasant Valley, police said.
The victim was taken to Vassar Brothers Hospital for evaluation, police said. The woman, meanwhile, is due back in the Town of Stanford at a later date, police said.
New York State Police troopers were called to Stanford at about 10 a.m. Sunday by the man who said boiling water was poured on him during a domestic dispute, police said.
