DOVER, N.Y. -- Democrat Linda French defeated Republican Ted Jensen to become the new Dover Town Supervisor on Tuesday.

French received 646 votes, while Jensen received 502, the results show. The two ran to succeed incumbent Ryan Courtien.

Republican incumbent Richard Yeo was re-elected to the Dover Town Board with 848 votes. Just 14 votes separate Joy Godin and Democrat Jane Meunier-Gorman. Godin leads Meunier-Gorman, 603 votes to 589 votes.

In the race for Highway Superintendent, incumbent Joanne Graham cruised to re-election over challenger Frank Perpepaj, with unofficial votes showing her getting 793 votes to 373 for her opponent.

Three incumbents for other town offices, however, were re-elected after running unopposed. Unofficial results show that Town Clerk Kathryn Palmer-House received 992 votes, Town Justice John Fusco got 807 and Tax Collector Dina Marie Yeno earned 952.
