Serino, a Hyde Park resident, dropped off lunch for the entire department on Saturday shortly after police announced they had revived a man who was unconscious and not breathing when they arrived on the scene of the incident earlier in the week.
Officers Sean Phillips, Jackie Tucker, and Tom Mirabella responded to the incident involving a medical emergency in a vehicle at a location that was not released by police.
The officers started CPR and utilized an AED to administer several shocks to the man, who regained a heartbeat and began breathing again, police said. He was then transported to the hospital for further treatment.
Serino represents the 41st district, which includes much of Dutchess as well as Columbia County.
She was elected to the Hyde Park Town Board in 2010 and then to the Dutchess County Legislature in 2011 before being elected to the state senate in 2014 and re-elected in 2016.
