Faso, who represents the 19th district which includes a portion of Dutchess County, announced on Twitter Thursday morning that he will be voting for the bill this afternoon, which will overhaul parts of the Affordable Care Act.
"After careful review of the changes to the AHCA, I believe that this legislation addresses my concerns and I will support it as amended," Faso said.
On Wednesday, a spokesperson for Faso said he was undecided.
According to the Washington Post's whip count, 17 Republicans have said they will vote no on the bill while 32 remain undecided. Republicans can only afford 22 'no' votes assuming all Democrats vote against the bill.
The 19th district includes Columbia, Delaware, Greene, Ostego, Schoharie, Sullivan and Ulster counties and parts of Broome, Dutchess, Montgomery and Rensselaer counties.
