The news is generally great for baby boomers unloading their houses but poses yet another challenge for millennial homebuyers now looking at few sale options, according to the Journal.
One hundred and ninety homes were sold in July, an increase of more than 4.2 percent over July 2015, according to the Journal, which reported that the year’s total homes sales are up 22.6 percent over 2015 sales.
Across most sale prices, there was growth, with increased numbers of homes selling above $400,000 and in the $500,000 to $800,000 range, according to the Journal, which reported that bidding wars broke out over homes in the $250,000 range.
