AMENIA, N.Y. -- Webutuck High School honored members of its Class of 2016 on Saturday at the 62nd-annual commencement.

The service was held in a tent on the athletic field, which in turn overlooks an expansive, scenic landscape in Amenia.

Members of the class marched to the tent while wearing green and white caps and gowns, which signify Webutuck's school colors.

Webutuck Schools Superintendent Raymond Castellani addressed the commencement, as did Webutuck High School Principal Jennifer Chason, who did so for the first time.

Dutchess County Sheriff Adrian "Butch" Anderson delivered the commencement address.

Among this year's class, Joan Calderon, the class president, announced its gift to the school district, which will be funding to pay for new signage at each school building.

Cassandra Lopane delivered the salutatory address, while Ruo Nan Huang gave the valedictory speech.

Photos of the commencement are attached to this article.
