Cortlandt Manor's Jarosz Nets Career High In Marist's Victory

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Senior center Tori Jarosz, from Cortlandt Manor, scored a career-high 27 points as the Marist College women's basketball team defeated Manhattan, 79-73, on Tuesday in New York.

Jarosz also tied a career-high with 17 rebounds for the Red Foxes, who snapped a two-game losing streak. Marist is 5-11 overall and 4-2 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Manhattan is 6-9, 3-3.

Jarosz also had six blocks and four assists. Sydney Coffey poured in 23 points for Marist, while Allie Clement also finished the game with a stuffed stat sheet, scoring 14 points on 4-for-8 shooting from behind the arc, grabbing five rebounds, and dishing out four assists along with two steals.

Jarosz is averaging 16.8 points and 10.9 rebounds per game. She was a three-year starter and two-year captain at Lakeland High School. She began her collegiate career at Vanderbilt before transferring to Marist.

The Red Foxes have now concluded their first three game conference road swing of the season and head home for a rematch against Iona on Friday, Jan. 15. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. at McCann Arena.
