The watch, issued by the National Weather Service Tuesday morning, lasts until Saturday at 8 a.m.

Recent rainfall and snow melt has resulted in nearly saturated grounds across the area, the weather service said.

After Tuesday's storm system, which is expected to bring 1 to 1.5 inches rainfall during the day and evening, another storm system is expected to bring additional rainfall to the area Thursday into Friday night, increasing the potential for flooding including along main stem rivers.

Minor flooding of urban, low-lying and poor drainage areas with a threat of river flooding will increase as the week progresses.
