East Dutchess Will See Warmup Before Chance Of Snow Later In Week

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- One of the coldest weekends of the winter will be followed by a dramatic warmup in Dutchess, with daytime highs Monday and Tuesday 20 to 30 degrees higher than they were Saturday and Sunday.

Temperatures plummeted to the single digits in some spots with wind-chill factors at or below freezing Saturday into Sunday.

After wind-chill values of between 20 and 30 degrees Monday morning, the temperature will climb throughout the day and reach a high in the mid-40s under partly sunny skies.

There is a chance of showers Tuesday as the temperature climbs even higher to the mid to upper 50s on a cloudy day.

Showers are likely Tuesday night through Wednesday morning. It will clear out later in the morning Wednesday with the high reaching between 56 and 58 under partly sunny skies.

Temps will drop back a bit Thursday and Friday, with the high temperature reaching around 40 degrees each day and a chance of flurries in the morning on Thursday and snow in the morning on Friday.

It is too early to project whether there could be accumulating snow on Friday as the track of the system is still uncertain.
